The Danish National Center for Ethics was established on 1 January 2022 and supports the work of the four independent bodies: the Danish Council on Ethics, the Danish Data Ethics Council, the Danish National Committee on Health Research Ethics and the Danish National Medical Research Ethics Committee.
Denmark is the only country in the world to have a data ethics council and the first country to establish science ethics committees and later the Ethical Council.
With the establishment of the Danish National Center for Ethics, Denmark is once again leading the way in the name of ethics.
